There are many individuals in our area who struggle with the English language, and many end up learning from family or friends in order to make ends meet. At CCVL you can study reading, writing, and speaking in English with our tutors. We work with students of all levels who are interested in learning more about studying English as a Second Language. Classes and materials are free to all of our students.

LifePrints is a four-level program that helps adult ESL students gain the English language skills they need to participate effectively at work and in their communities. Reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills are integrated into each lesson, utilizing text and illustrations to draw on the learner's knowledge and experience. Grammar lessons are also included to help each student learner realize the most out of the program and achieve their goals.

Oxford Picture Dictionary is a fully integrated vocabulary development program, progressing from essential words to the more complex, delivered in short thematic units. Realistic scenarios and modern artwork are easy to relate to and these, together with story pages and practice exercises, have been applauded for their success in promoting language skills. Content is fully supported by a range of components – including innovative digital tools for student practice, workbooks, classroom activities, audio and more.
